With Harrison Miller from Vino Alpino Imports
Oregon wines are having a moment in our wine world. Winemakers are reviving traditional winemaking techniques and viticulture to focus on a truer expression of fruit and terroir. Beckham Estate is likely the only winery in the world where the production of the terra cotta vessels for fermenting and aging is on-site, and is integrated with the farming and production of the wines. What's the deal with terra cotta vessels and why the resurgence in the modern wine world? They foster temperature stability, micro-oxygenation, neutral flavors (rather than the oaky / vanilla flavors from oak barrels). In the vineyard, Beckham practices regenerative farming. In the cellar, they are low intervention. We are excited for this lineup and hope you will join us.
