New Pét-Nats for spring! | Greek Wine Tasting and Dinner | Upcoming events

We hope you are enjoying that patio or porch weather, with a fresh glass in hand in the company of good friends.

This week, we are loving the number of pet-nats (short for pétillant naturel) in our store -- scroll down to see what fun sparklies we have.

Look for the upcoming Greek wine tasting on Tuesday - trust us, these are delicious, small producers changing the reputation and landscape of mediterranean wines. If you miss that, we have a few seats left for the Greek/Mediterranean Mezze/Buffet dinner on Thursday, March 21, and will offer some of these by the glass that evening.

And, save the date, we have another winemaker night with a Chianti producer, Corzano e Paterno, on Saturday, April 6.

Cheers!

Featured Pét-Nats

Pétillant Naturel (Pét-Nat for short) is the original sparkling wine - all the bubbles are naturally formed within the bottle. It is also known as méthode ancestrale - back in the day when modern tech did not exist, the "technology" was simply nature. It is an ancient method of making sparkling wine which consists of a single fermentation. The grape must is bottled before it is fully fermented, and as the grapes’ natural yeasts consume the remaining sugars, bubbles are produced and trapped in the bottle. In other words, you have bubbles that are alive and well, increasing our drinking pleasure.
