We are starting February off with gusto! Tuesday tastings are back online, and boy, do we have a great line-up of stellar wines for you. This Tuesday, Feb 4 (TOMORROW), we have Kermit Lynch in Italy. 5-7pm, drop in. Scroll for details, and for future tasting lineups.

And, *special highlight* here, we are hosting another Fried Chicken and Champagne dinner Wednesday, February 12, RSVP, limited seating. This is absolutely a DO NOT MISS.

Surprise gems from the Kermit Lynch portfolio, slightly off-the-beaten-path, hidden treasures - a crisp, white, Puglian white blend, a barbera from Monferrato, a floral grape called "Lacrima" near the Adriatic coast, and a drinking vermouth that we're not allowed to take home with us because we would drink the whole bottle in one sitting (yes, it's that good).

Sonoko Sakai, Wafu Cooking: Everyday Recipes with Japanese Style
In spite of the chaos in the world and in our country, we hope you will find some respite in friends, community, and connection. One of our favorite ways to rejuvenate, other than pouring a good glass of wine, is cooking and having people over. How about a little inspiration in what to cook? Try our new favorite cookbook, Sonoko Sakai's Wafu Cooking: Everyday recipes with Japanese Style. Sonoko is our kind of cook, who lived in LA, New York, and Mexico, but uses her blended heritage Japanese/American to create everyday dishes. This reminds me (Alice) of my growing-up years when my mother would blend her sushi rolls with shredded pork (blending Taiwanese and Japanese styles) or throw a pinch of dashi into her steak marinade and serve steak with a wasabi-mayonnaise dip. Yum!
