Importer Visit - Tuesday | Upcoming Events

Hello from the Caviste -

It's been a wild weather day and we hope you are staying safe and dry. Like the weather, we're switching up our tasting schedule in order to host some visiting importers.

This Tuesday, March 17, with Todd Edmunson from AJ Selections. He will be pouring some classic rhone wines, a pink bubbly from a region known for their pink bubblies, and you can learn about the original home of Malbec; Cahors.

Then, next Tuesday, March 24, we are hosting Vom Boden Selections as they pour some delicious German and Austrian wines. Don't be shy and come taste these delicious wines. Details on both tastings are below.

Finally, we have some wine dinners lined up for the first part of each month and seats are filling up quickly, grab one while you can.

French Faves

We had a great tasting last week and are fortunate to have an importer visiting this week. Once again we will explore a few of France's many wine offerings.

We will pour a red and white Cotes du Rhone, consistent favorites but also gives us a chance to try the 'original' malbec from Cahors. These red wines have structure and balance, once known as "black wines," today they are more like a country bordeaux, just a touch of rusticity. Then we will finish with a great spring and summer sparkling wine, like a fruit berry compote in a glass, Cerdon Bugey.
