Hello from the Caviste:
The amount of blooms we see bursting everywhere in town is about the amount of new wines and events we have in the shop. We look forward to seeing you sometime, whether it is for bar snacks (every evening we're open at 5:30 unless there is a special event), whether it is for a new discovery in our retail shop, or for one of our tastings.
To highlight - we have special people we'd love for you to meet: Joseph Frederick, previously a sommelier and now a rep from one of our favorite importers, Rosenthal Wine Merchants; and Arianna Gelpke of Corzano e Paterno, Tuscany, Italy. Scroll down for more details.
We look forward to seeing you soon.

Wine Tasting with Joseph from Rosenthal Wine Merchant
We are excited to welcome Joseph Frederick from one of our favorite importers, Rosenthal Wine Merchant. If you shop with us long enough, you know that we have longstanding relationships with people with similar missions: finding terroir-driven wines not by marketing but by tasting and meeting people. Joseph will be on-site with us to give us a tour of some of the classic French wines. See below for what he'll be pouring.

Winemaker visit with Arianna Gelpke from Corzano e Paterno and Anna from Piedmont Wine Imports

La Fattoria Corzano e Paterno, founded by the Swiss architect Wendel Gelpke, is now owned and operated by his heirs, the Gelpke and Goldschmidt families. The farm extends over two hundred hectares (five hundred acres) of verdant and stony hills enabling the production of our extensive range of wines, sheep cheeses and high quality olive oil. In 2005 Gelpke’s daughter, Arianna, following her studies in enology and viticulture and experience in other cellars, came back full time to the farm.
Arianna will be on-site with us on Saturday, April 6, to pour her wines and meet you. We can't wait!

Female Wine Producers
|
|
We're ending Women's History Month with a spotlight on some of our favorite wines, which happen to be made by female producers. Many of these producers continued family tradition and then took it to the next level, or pushed boundaries and ended up either being benchmarks or revolutionary in their own right. The wines are delicious, beguiling, and multi-faceted. We love exploring and sharing these wines and their stories with you. Enjoy!
