If you know us, you know the Kermit Lynch portfolio has been a mainstay in our shop. As one of the first importers to focus on low-intervention small producers, Kermit Lynch is part of the foundation of our shop, and is an inspiration for why we do what we do. Come in for a taste, stay for a glass.
Cantine Garrone, Munaloss, Val d'Ossola, Piedmont, Italy Prünent, Croatina Val d'Ossola is just seven miles south of the Swiss border, a region some may call the hinterlands, as it is almost untouched by time. Luigi Garrone and his grandsons today are focused on elevating this region, especially with Prünent, the local name for Nebbiolo. This is a wonderfully unique, delicious, light, red. $22
Perrusset, "Les Rochettes", Mâcon-Perrone, Burgundy, France Chardonnay One of the tried-and-true classic white burgundies, and this particular new wine, comes from a south-facing parcel, giving more roundness, yellow-fruit aromas, and a mineral lift. $28
Thivin, "Les Rochettes", Beaujolais Gamay New label, but familiar beaujolais benchmark producer from Côte de Brouilly, a magnificent cru beaujolais region. Most of the vines average 50 years, and with the characteristic decomposed pink granite soil, the resulting wines are structured, high-toned with some zest. A fantastic rosé for those spring evenings. $24
Domaine Maestracci, "Clos Reginu", Corsica Niellucciu, Grenache, Sciaccarellu, Syrah, Mourvedre Seaside-style varietals (Nielluciu and Sciaccarellu) combined with southern French varietals provides a full balanced spectrum of flavors. Camille-Anaïs Raoust is the second generation winemaker, using a gentle touch in the vinification process and allowing some extended aging time before releasing the bottles. This is a quintessential Mediterranean food wine. $23
