Hello from the Caviste!

We are gearing up for the fall and are excited to offer so many fun events this month. We have an amazing wine dinner on September 6 (with a couple of seats available), some weekly tastings and our first book launch/wine tasting on September 16 with Master Sommelier Jane Lopes.  Michael Hastings from The Winston-Salem Journal featured this upcoming event --  click here for the article. 

And, we have a new red Bordeaux in the store perfect for casual Fall sipping, with or without goodies from the grill.

Château Vilatte, Bordeaux Supérieur, 2016
Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon

Chateau Vilatte is a long-time organic producer and is just 6 kilometers from Chateau Le Puy (another store favorite). Most of their production is focused on white Bordeaux, but they also long age and late release their entry level Bordeaux Rouge. This brings to the market a wine that is "pret a boire" meaning "ready to drink." The "latest" release is 2016. Amazing gem of a wine that is ready to go, delicious, full plushness in feel, and juicy. Dried currants and red plums For the red wine drinker who just can’t get enough of a deeply satisfying value red. An incredible value at $19
